Experience Wildcards

Prompt wild and creative methods to connect with your audience

These cards are a series of prompts to help you think differently about person-centred design. Prompts will challenge your thinking from the medium to the message, techniques, and so-on.

HOW-TO

There are at least two ways to use Experience Wildcards.

  1. Play it as a Game.

Flip all six cards and brainstorm a solution to the card spread. TAKE YOUR TIME, as it is not easy.
If you don't like one of your cards, replace it with a new one by clicking the arrow in the bottom right corner of the card.

  2. Reference it Amidst Your Design Process

During your design process, you may need a wildcard to prompt your thinking. It may be beneficial to pull a card in a certain category (usually from the 'Considerations' stacks) to help you think differently about your task at hand. If you need to check accessibility of your experience, draw card from the "While Adressing Accessibility" stack and brainstorm your prompt. Or, consider all groups of people from the "Recognizing Student Preferences" stack, or tools from 'Utilizing a Psychological Phenomena'.

Most importantly, have fun and let the ideas flow freely.
